By Car

Great Yarmouth is well connected by road via the A47, which links to the A11 and the national motorway network. The drive is straightforward from most directions.

From London (130 miles, approximately 2.5-3 hours)

Take the M11 north from London, then follow the A11 towards Norwich. At Norwich, pick up the A47 eastbound which takes you directly into Great Yarmouth. The route is well signposted throughout. St George Hotel is located on Albert Square, just off Marine Parade on the seafront.

From Norwich (20 miles, approximately 30-40 minutes)

Simply follow the A47 east from Norwich city centre. The dual carriageway takes you straight into Great Yarmouth. At the Vauxhall roundabout, follow signs for the seafront and Marine Parade.

From the Midlands (150 miles, approximately 3 hours)

Take the A14 east towards Newmarket, then join the A11 north to Norwich, and finally the A47 east to Great Yarmouth.

Services run regularly throughout the day, with the last train from Norwich to Great Yarmouth typically departing around 11pm.

By Bus

National Express coaches serve Great Yarmouth from London Victoria and other major cities. First Eastern Counties operates regular local bus services connecting Great Yarmouth with Norwich, Lowestoft, and surrounding villages. The bus station is in the town centre, approximately 15 minutes walk from St George Hotel.

By Air

The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport (NWI), approximately 25 miles from Great Yarmouth (40 minutes drive). Norwich Airport has flights to and from destinations including Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and various holiday destinations. From the airport, you can hire a car or take a taxi to Great Yarmouth.
